our VISION

Our vision is to help people with neurological impairments live towards their full brain potential with affordable and easy to use technology.

Our first product aims to support people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with science based brain training to improve:

concentration levels

Measure and improve concentration levels.

brain activity

Get your mirror neurons in action!

relaxation capabilities

Learn to relax when needed.

BETA-TEST PROGRAM

Brain Hero is CE-certified and is in the final stage of development for children with autism. We are looking for up to 100 more enthusiastic testers who have been diagnosed with autism.

Please note that Brain Hero is currently only available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Brain Hero is planned as a therapy exclusively for people with autism within the age group 6 to 18. Children with severe impairments are welcome. Among other things, we had positive experiences with non-verbal children. If your child does not have an autism diagnosis, you will unfortunately not be able to participate in this beta test program.

How does Brain Hero work?

Brain Hero is designed as a mobile Neurofeedback training for home use. The training consists of two parts:

  • a mobile EEG that measures the brainwaves
  • the Brain Hero training app for smartphones and tablets – the training can also be streamed to a TV

The EEG and the smartphone/tablet are connected via Bluetooth. The child controls the training only with his brain activity –  almost with the concentration and relaxation in a defined brain region. When the brain is concentrated, Brain Hero flies up; when the brain is relaxed, it flies down. Super easy and instant feedback! Regular training sessions of only 10-15 minutes per day improve the ability to concentrate and relax. This is also perceived with improved social interaction. We use child friendly animated characters that can collect cookies and achieve high scores. Watch our video for more details.

The scientific basis of Brain Hero

Brain Hero is based on the results of various scientific studies. The studies used questionnaires, but also EEG measurements data before and after the study. As a result, improvements in social interaction were achieved in the children, as well as in the EEG measurements at the end of the study. We are happy to provide the exact list of studies or further information on request.

Our Story

Wiener Zeitung (translated) :

“When you have a child with autism, you try a lot, actually everything,” describes Christof Goetz the motivation that led to “Brain Hero”. (…) In Christof Goetz the idea matured to create a game based on neurofeedback. ”

TO THE ARTICLE >

This idea led to a start-up that has grown into a company called MyMind. MyMind is a life science company based in Vienna. Our vision is to help people with neurological impairments to use their full brain potential and to be a visible part of society.

The first goal is to include the Brain Hero mobile neurofeedback training in therapy methods for children with autism and ADHD. A medical study is currently being prepared to enable the use of Brain Hero as part of the therapy. It is planned to further develop the training for other neurological impairments such as dementia, stroke, but also burnout and burnout prevention.

Christof Goetz,  CEO and Founder of Brain Hero:

“We hope that with Brain Hero I can give my daughter and other children the chance to live independently.”
